Amateurs, I've been to a privately run shooting club where they have their own pub.

Bolts out or foreends off, go have a pint. Just the one mind. Any more and the guns are the least of your worries.

As long as it's lawful, what's the issue? If it's not your thing, then no worries.

What's the problem if no laws are broken,
Every driver knows the rules on D&D clubs are stronger if people socialise.

When I first started shooting the Company I worked for had its own range and it was part of the Sports and Social Club. Everything including the range was subsidised by the Company. We had a indoor and outdoor range. The indoor range was alongside the ball room. After shooting we used to go into the Club and play snooker darts etc. It was all hand guns then we used to just take them into the Club with us and stack them on one of the tables. There was no drink driving rule back then either. No body in the Club batted a eye lid. The guns were all in gun slips or cased of course.

No, but if anyone wants to meet at Starbucks for coffee.... that would be far more sensible

+1
Can also be an opportunity to assess the calibre of a new syndicate or club member in a more relaxed environment. Has long been a tradition with many shooting clubs. Have visited several shooting clubs in the past that had their own bar which was solely for use AFTER shooting and not before.
Also don't forget the many small bore shooting leagues and bell shooting leagues based in pubs in the west country and the midlands.

Well we all leave rifles in cars dotted about at Bisley......
I would be more concerned with drink driving/shooting personally
