Does .5 MOA @ 50m? (i.e. 1/4" tip-2-tip) sound about right or is that over ambitious?

Shooting my 1943 K31 at Altcar today (B range 300 yards). 40 rounds all within the 4 ring on a standard NRA 300 yard target. If I'd put more effort in I could have done better.

if I do my part, mine will hold the black at 1000yds on Stickledown, might even do better if I put a scope on it bangbang
