Indeed, it was Reagan that signed the infamous 1986 Firearm Owners Protection act that created the issue with auto stuff and transferable status, and the ban on any imports of auto, even old wartime USA lend lease stuff surplused post-86 etc.

To many American shooters, Reagan is probably responsible for one of the single most contentious firearms laws there in the past 40 years!!

If the 1986 act was repealed there would be a lot of unhappy people who spent $15k on an M-16 lower.

BS - Donald Trump inherited in the region of $300 million from his father....he's the ultimate rich Daddy's boy.

Obama's net worth is estimated at $12 million even after serving two terms as President.
A quote from Harry Truman... "You can't get rich in politics unless you're a crook"

Obama nor the Clinton(s) had 2 pennies to rub together before they became Presidents now look at their fortunes....!

Hopefully there will be some good news when he is inaugurated, and we are free of Europe, if the government ever gets it finger out.

From the portrayal on the media Trump is a much more supportive of the UK than of the EU. I think we can look forward to a 'special relationship' like we used to have before Obama was elected.

If part of the special relationship is a better trade deal than the rest of the world, and the opportunity to have restrictions lifted on buying goods for sporting firearms then life's good.

However we could end up with more of the same and an ITAR light type arrangement which wouldn't be up to much.
