Imagine the face of a mugger if he nicked your guitar and opened it to find .......

Waitrose carrier bag!
A few years back, I went to pick up a new shotgun and my accompanying wife wanted to go to a large shopping centre on the way home. So, barrels secured by a steel cable to the car, fore-end suitably wrapped in wife's handbag, stock, in a towel and in a basic bag which I kept hold of. In and out of all the shops and no one knew.

Beat me to it Tom!
I did travel on the underground a few years ago after a buying an L39A1 from Armalon in Harrowby Street W1.
There were a number of curious stares at my very normal looking rifle slip; I found by staring back at them people averted their gaze and I was left alone.

Hammersmith Underground Station and line lines running through are an interesting place four times a year when the Holts auction is held close-by. You see many gun cases almost certainly containing an appropriate purchase and plenty of gun shaped bubble wrap statues going through there.

Used a tennis racket case when I had my SGC/CZ V-22
"Looked" ok as long as it wasn't being carried....weight all wrong.
Blue 50p IKEA bags are cracking disguise.
Add in a soft jacket/towel or two, and a couple of the IKEA bags hide most goodies.
(Even use them for multiple gunslip carry/disguise)

I found my AUG with scope and front handle didn't fit in any normal gunbag, so I bought a keyboard bag for it, works a treat...
(Just for convenience....it doesn't go anywhere apart from the range, so doesn't really need to be "discrete"!!)

Fencing bags are quite suitable, in days gone bye when I used them they were pressed into many uses as well as carrying my foils, epees and sabres. Only thing was you kept getting asked to parties as people thought you were carrying a guitar.

I had a Remington PSS worked on by Armalon a few years ago and carried it from the shop to my car a few blocks away in a normal rifle slip slung over my shoulder. I also had a few funny looks ...
