Chuck, I thought you knew by now that once a F-B UK member your soul is lost forever. No going back.

Has anyone tried using Chrome to see if anything pops up there?
I read somewhere that Chrome is going to do something similar from April onwards.
Just watch Google offer the cheapest security certs around in time to come so you will "shine" in their index with a google security cert :good:
All aboard the money merry go round.......

I'm currently using the most up to date version (57.0.2987.110) which displays an "i" in a circle. When clicking on this symbol it says "your connection to this site it not secure", however, the site has not been blocked and I am still able to view as normal. Forcing the URL to "https://" does not allow me to view the website.

So what happens next? If FB is not secure, how come? Do you have to start paying protection money to FF to get the message removed?

Pete (perplexed.....)

As far as I understand if you have a web form of any sort on your site, eg: a field where details can be typed in by a user then unless the site is verified as secure with a SSL certificate (https) then the error will get thrown up every time.
I had a long chat about this with a friend of mine in January and the official reason is to make the web more secure and certain parties are going to make this happen as they are in control (Google)
Eventually Google will not index any site at all that is not secure so if you have a naughty site or something akin to that then your as good as blacklisted in the near furure as you wont be getting a SSL cert because you can be traced right to your door.
Its all about cleaning the web up, making more money and protecting big copyright holders.

If you want a Google ranking AT ALL and no errors in your form fields you will need a SSL certificate..............eventually!

It seems FF/Mozilla have succumbed to the big corporation cosh and are playing their game now, so much for open source, power to the people mozilla of 20 years ago 8-)
