North Cotes Butts also have an active Western Action shooting thing going on plus monthly under lever comps with steels against the clock and similar which is great fun.

I do.
Grimsby is becoming the home range for the bwss.
You can shoot with 2 pistols. Rifle and shotgun. Or just rifle and shotgun. Or one pistol rifle and shotgun.
They are all different classes. Also how you shoot pistol (both at once alternating shots or one at a time double handed) will also be different classes.
Guns need to be pre 1900 design but don't have to use black powder loads
Course of fire varies depending on the targets laid out of available. Bit generally it is steels engaged in a certain order with guns in a certain order. Shot against the clock. Timed with a shot clock
In the bwss you don't have to dress up the full hog. They would like you to make the effort though. Personally I wear jeans and a shirt. Cowboy Hat and normal cat work boots. The holsters are the next most expensive bit after the guns.
The bit about alias is more the American rules I think. My alias is braces. Nothing old west or job basked about that

I would probably give it a go with a underlever and may be a shot gun but I have no time for black powder revolvers horrible things.

They are a lot better when using shoot gun primers.
You can shoot without pistol. You just shout the pistol targets with the rifle. Reload. Then engage the rifle target

I have had a couple of black powder revolvers in the past had nothing but trouble with them. Things may have improved over the years but Im not really fussed.

Shot gun primers and Nitro powder helps

So what is the actual course of fire how many rounds do you have to shoot with the revolvers.

Ten rounds across the two revolvers. They are loaded with an empty chamber. Hammer is dropped on that and holstered

So you need two revolvers an underlever and a shot gun. Yes.
