There are a few clubs that offer reloading courses, Offas Dyke is one, they are just about to do an advanced course for experienced reloaders or people that have attended previous course

Lyman 50th Edition Reloading Handbook.

creedmoor ammo is available , it's not cheap but what ammo is in this country ? until we get the economys of scale that there is in the states were unlikely to ever enjoy the cheap ammo they get in America sadly!

I'm a reloader , it's ok if you have plenty of time , it's not difficult but despite what everyone claims it is time consuming and frankly I just don't have the time for large scale reloading so I use factory ammo as well. I reload for my obscure calibres because that's the only way to shoot them (try buying 45/120 ammo!) so if your retired reloading might be for you but if you have a young family or run a business or work long hours then you might be well served by factory ammo.

Yes like all things of value it takes time, I have been hand loading for over forty years. When I was working and raising a family I easily found time to hand load, I threw my TV in the bin and found lots more time for my hand loading and my family. Never had a TV since, life is too short for piping sh!te into your house.

Like all things it is about the choices people choose to make, if factory ammunition fits your "lifestyle" (what a bloody awful word) then good luck to you. Handloading should always be a pleasure never a chore, down that route accidents lie.

Yes, this is part of my challenge, having free time to do this. Time I might rather spend down the range!

exactly , remain open minded about it , use factory and handloads to suit your lifestyle , life has changed a lot since the 50's and even though some deny it the fact remains that life has changed , so we can either bury our heads in the sand and bleat on about the good old days or embrace change and get on with life !

The one thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is the availability. You might struggle to find 6.5 creedmoor in any quantity but you will (almost) always be able to find and acquire powder, primers and projectiles for reloading. You can then load enough ammo to suit your needs.
