Thanks for your replies and as always it comes down knowing the gun and practise, a 12 month break between each session doesn't lend itself to either of those.
try getting a bb or pellet gun to match the one your shooting there
I have been looking out for a Umarex S10 as it was the closest to a Glock when available so close l think Umarex got leaned on! Allegedly! Anyone with one wanting to sell?

If it is specifically the Glock that you want to practice, you could get a SIRT 110 Pistol. It is pretty close to the original but it is a laser training aid.

Dellboy , before getting a mod'd Cz, have a try at the omega trigger unless of course you want a specific target gun .

What i really want is a 75 compact steel frame with a decocker .i find the alloy frame too light . Any thoughts ?

I was after the same as you but the steel frame Cz75 compact does not have a decocker and only a safety. I was about to go-ahead and then I try the P01 Omega. The best 15,000 Kc I ever spent

similar weight to the steel frame ?

Nope, it is about 100 grams lighter. It is highly subjectif but IMO the frame weight does not affect the pistol control or shooting confort. Best is to get both side by side and judge for yourself and if you can not, think of a Cz75 Compact loaded with only 6 rounds as it will then weights about the same as a P01 with a full mag.
