I use cheap eBay bipods for less than £20
on my .308 & .223 as well as an expensive
Harris one on .308 & .223 and I have no issues
with any of them and I can't differentiate between
either.

Money does buy quality but like a lot of things in life
sometimes it's the name you pay for.

Thanks for the offer Brian but I think I've settled on a cheapo.
I had a look at a few at the club tonight and to tell the truth the difference between expensive and cheap is negligible. They all seem to be the harris type design too.
I'll give one a go for 20 quid

I've examples of both Harris & the Chines knock-off's & to look at, they're near identical.
It's only once they're being used as intended that the quality of the Harris shines through, with the tilt lock on the copies not locking up & the leg on one knock-off actually fracturing through a notch.

Buy quality & buy once, whilst at the same time avoiding failure at a critical moment.

Stick with Harris quality. The cheaper ones don't last.

True - looks are no real indication of what you are actually going to get.

A £20 car tyre made by the Tang Wang Corp in China might look as shiny and nice as a GoodYear but there will be no comparison in performance.

Never ceases to amaze me the number of people who understand this principle when it comes to rifles and buy a decent rifle. Then they seem to forget it when buying a scope or bipod.

There's nothing wrong with Ling Longs. (There is actually - they're s***!)

Talk to Simon Douglas at Rifleworks about Tac Sheild bipods. I use one on my 6.5 x 55 and it's been great so far after nearly 2 years and didn't cost the earth. Link below.

I agree, I have one on my Ruger PR (6.5CM) and I too will eventually get one for my AI.

They've been fine on 308 and 6.5x47 for a couple of years now. You can also get interchangeable feet, (I have spikies) and leg extensions.
