I use a slef colour set and yes, the very first few sets were in the white with a semi polished finish. I have a feeling Tim Stewart has the very first prototype built and I still have one of the 3,5mm to 6,5mm ones I built for the Accuracy International one piece ring-sets. They were a real pain to machine as they used to spring out of the vice jaws at the slightest prompt and I reckon the last one cost me well over a hundred pounds in labour alone so it is lovingly wrapped in tissue and sits in a draw somewhere.

If you have not guessed by now I do make them for other people and I know of one company that makes and sells a direct copy of my design.
