Apparently it is a firearms surrender not amnesty. I'm checking with our Firearms Licensing Manager what that means!

It is not an amnesty it is a surrender.

"This is a surrender not an amnesty. This surrender does not mean that the police will not investigate any offences prior to its surrender and the public should be reassured that we will continue to vigorously investigate offences linked to any firearm we receive. "

Wether its a criminal with a change of heart or a pensioner who found something in the loft they are in for a grilling troutslapping

If this is a gun "surrender" why does it have to be two weeks only? why not a continuous "surrender"?
This will amount to nothing seeing as though details are being taken from people. I'm sure plod will try their best to attach EVERY gun surrendered to a crime so best chuck the nasty old guns in the river if your a reformed armed robber lol

Another massive weapons haul! I realise there's an air rifle, a .22Lr and a shotgun, but are the pistols viable?
