Yes that's another good point Sim. I use only 357mag cases even for gallery loadings. Using lead truncated cone bullets I load to an overall length of 1.680" which feeds very nice and in in line with the canelure on the bullet.

My 44 Marlin developed the same problem last year. I found various fixes on the internet. The one that has worked for me was glueing a small piece of hacksaw blade to the carrier, as well as rounding off the the cam on the lever.. I did try bending the carrier, but found that very difficult.

So I think I'm gonna try some .357 rounds first, then after that I'll buy a new carrier and round the snail cam.
