Given that the show is no longer in a rural location (Stoneleigh) but on the outskirts of Birmingham (NEC), should you now wear urban camo when attending? lol

Given its Birmingham, I'd more inclined to wear some body armour............

A lot of walking, it’s huge.

Does this mean you have to figure in another £8 - £10 for the car park? This has been the norm for every event I've attended at the NEC.

If you think you are a person of some importance, try ordering someone else's dog around.

The BSS at Stoneleigh Park was heading into oblivion, so it was with mixed feelings that I bought an advance ticket a few months back for the new venue. I'm still not sure whether I'll go or not.

The Northern SS was OK in the first year, but I wasn't impressed last year. Perhaps I've just outgrown these shows? any????

Brit Shooting Shows are a good day out for shooters in the winter months - nothing more. Go with that in mind and you'll have a good day out. At least you can buy stuff - unlike the Shot Show or IWA in Germany. Moving the Show to the NEC should be a great improvement and, if we want a good shooting show we need to support it.

Even the Vegas Shot Show - though massive - is largely hunting stuff and stuff we can't have - i.e. semi-auto rifles and pistols. The layout is crap - cramped in terrible halls with poor food outlets and little seating. Much of the Show is in the hotel's dining and conference rooms. It's a nightmare to find your way around as most of the stand numbers are on the floor! Vegas is great though!

At least IWA is in a modern exhibition centre - roomy airy, good food etc - it's now as big as the Shot Show and even the big American companies - like Leupold etc - have much bigger stands at IWA.

Agree with all that, to add, Vegas is now mad money in terms of substance, in the shot a show a bottle of water and a snicker bar was £8! And the food concessions there are just dire, inedible. I’m missing this year and going to iwa instead.
