I can confirm that they are water resistant, windproof and keep me warm on cold days.

For very cold days I have a pair of fleece lined Buffalo trousers.
Where did you get them for that price??

Recently I’ve been buying 5.11 trousers from eBay as ‘cut label’ - basically they cut off the little loose logo and iron a patch over the inside label so you can’t take them back to a shop and get a full price refund. Still leave all the 5.11 care labels and rear logos. Anyway, they are new and only 20 quid for the Apex and 25 for Strike. Seller is ‘fashionlabels4less’. Wearing some from them right this very second :)

No probs:)

The Apex are relatively light and slimline ‘covert’ trousers - you could wear them (particularly in Navy and Black) instead of slacks/chinos or uniform trousers. They have hidden thigh pockets so you don’t walk like John Wayne in them. I think they are fab, particularly for the money. The Strike are more conventional walking / shooting / range trousers.

A couple of points to note:

* The seller seems great and their free shipping is quick enough
* The Apex (and possibly Strike) will have a replacement main button, snipped little leg label and obscured main inner label. Everything else remains as is.
* They come plastic wrapped but wrinkled so need an iron before wearing!
* The goon on the first page of the Apex listing is pictured wearing another type of trouser - ignore him. Look at the green or grey for a correct representation of the style.

TacTree.co.uk, last August. 5.11 Taclite Pro Trousers . I lied about the price - they were £36

Search for TR155 OD. Price has gone up to £43.

They are great for fire with movement as the wide gusset allows you to stand/kneel/sit easily.

I like those - I picked a pair up from Tactree’s stall at the last shooting show. Really sturdy and a good weight.
