Again, .357 brass, 158gn truncated cone in front of 4.4gn of N320.
I accidentally bought a box of 158gn RNFP bullets a couple of years ago... couldn't get them to group, even at 25yds.
(This is in a Marlin 1894)
What ammunition are people using for a.38/.357 Rossi

I get good results with 357 cases using GM 358 158gn rnfp bullets and 6.5 GN Unique

No, just factory loads to start with and then I'll look into reloading but buy bullet heads.Sent from my Moto G (5) using "An application"Dahonis wrote:Unsure about weight and such.
If you plan to use cast, learn from my mistake, slug the bore!!!

If your only comment on a post from weeks ago is a correction to the terminology rather than advice, then maybe don't add your own errors. Must admit the irony of this brightened up a miserable morningAlpha1 wrote:They are not heads they are bullets heads are some were you go to take a dump.swotty wrote:Ah, will do!

Re: What ammunition are people using for a.38/.357 Rossi
I had a Rossi in the 1990s: put about 10 thousand rounds through it with no trouble at all. Accuracy was excellent. I only sold it because I have an original Winchester in 44=40 which was not getting used enough and I did not need two lever action rifles. I used 357 cases with 5 grains of Unique and a Lee 150 grn round nosed bullet cast fron a 25 : 1 lead / tin mix.
