Tbh while it’s an Interesting concept is the reformation... it’s useless outside the US and that nerf ball ammo ain’t out. The providence at least has potential. Poor dude had to defend the barely defensible there. I believe with normal ammo the reformation is lucky to 4 inch at 50 yards.

yeah, a soloution to an issue that wasn't really there. unlike this trigger. as others have said, it's all around how much work you have to do witht he trigger.

The trigger when cycling the action looked reasonably light, quite how it operates when cycling/ejecting around remains to be seen. I must admit I like the concept and it had me mentally going through quite how it would operate for a while.

Having said that, I do wonder if this will eventually manage to get to the UK shores at an artificially imported price, be lugged down to the local range where it will be videoed cycling a magazine in 20 seconds, posted to Youtube and the world will start to melt down, yet again...

It would be nice if people accepted what we have as firearms, stopped trying to push the boundaries of the law and started enjoying what they can lawfully shoot. While I am at it, some cohesion between shooting disciplines would be nice as well.

But then we arguably wouldn't have LBRs/LBPs either, and I get a serious amount of enjoyment out of those, possible more than any other firearms. Ultimately it's either legal or it isn't. Not that I disagree that the above firearm (if it does make it here) won't be immediately targeted by the antis.

The idea has been around for getting on for 200 years in various forms, North & Skinner, Patterson, S&W 320 and several more have come and gone. As Sim said, the Dardick was a very similar idea and was also available in carbine form but unfortunately went the way of the Dodo very quickly.

In the end the Reformation is about sticking a big middle finger up at the NFA, as Ian pointed out in the video if you really want an SBR it isn't exactly that onerous to fill out the Federal paperwork and pay the required fee. It is certainly less of a pain than we have to go through to get any gun these days!

try looking at it this way, if they spend more time thinking about LR or this type of rifle in another 5+ years time, it is all time taken away from them wondering about other rifles. While I would welcome no bans again, I do think if there wasn't innovation, we would have far less by now through more bans.

as for the Dardick, the main drawback to that was unique, expensive ammo. the advantage to this modern take, is off the shelf ammo. hell, looks like the concept should work with almost anything you can get in a mag.



I do wonder if they use anything for primary extraction, or if it is purely the trigger

The trigger hasn't got much mechanical advantage, would this system manage much more than pistol rounds?

Isn't there something about a single pull of the trigger not being sufficient to meet the legal requirements, although how that fits in with double action long barrelled revolvers is something I've not sussed out either.

My first look at this rifle leaves me thinking it would be a decent replacement for my soon to be banned lever release and allow me to keep using all the Glock mags, 9mm reloading gear and bullets that I probably won't get compensation for.

My second thought was that if someone in the Home Office has seen the video they will already be drafting an amendment to the OWB to ban it.
