just bought and restored a brno 581 well worth the efort last of the old school autos and it only cost £70

Turns out Raytrade are no longer H&R importers - website out of date!
I cant think of many other "modern" pistol calibre single shots.
Have emailed Viking about the Henry.
I have about 15 sec 58 historic firearms.
I have a Mk4 MH on ticket which I will keep.

i have a william roper of london single shot in 44mag i believe theres a 38spl martini on gunstar or guntrader made by him

There is a thought.
I have a couple of Egyptian rolling blocks on sec58.
Maybe I could get one rebarreled in 357 mag but suspect the cost will be prohibitive!

I’ve seen that! Do you know much about the maker? He doesn’t feature in my Greenhills directory....

The Uberti 18885 High ad Low Walls are excellent single shots in a plethora of chamberings.
Then there are Pedersoli's Rolling Blocks in pistol cartridges chamberings.

I considered both the Uberti 1885 Single Shots and Pedersoli Rolling Blocks in pistol calibres when I was searching for a single shot .357, but they are all far too bulky/heavy for that chambering in my opinion. I ended up with an Uberti Baby Rolling Block in 357 which is very small in comparison to Pedersoli's fiull size models, and considerably lighter. It's a delightful little gun but the styling isn't for everyone, it's not as attractive as the fullsize models in my opinion.

I do have a Uberti high wall in 45/70.
They are superb rifles. I used to have a 45colt Uberti yellowboy.
I am really looking for something that is scope mountable.
Interesting article about MR Roper. What a skilled man.

As regards MiniMcQueen.........
I have an old BSA Martini ( sourced from Dromia ) which serves me well in Mini-McQueen - very cheap ( even cheaper when I sold off the iron sights - pretty much paid for the rifle ! )
Its certainly holding its own against some very modern and very expensive rifles. Won it a couple of times and in the top 5 regularly.
