Why so? I wondered how they (BASC) can use other clubs ranges and whether it is counted as a Guest day for them or the club they are using? I wasn't aware of them being a home office approved club.

Apologies for the poor title. I had only just seen a comment that BASC was a Home office approved club. I know they run events on other Club ranges for non FAC holders and hence the question about Guest days.

To make it simple. A club has 12 allocated Guest days which are notified to the police. It then allows BASC (for example) to use its range for an event where non FAC holders can attend and shoot. Can this be done?

Yeah, I reckon so. Under s130 Policing and Crime Act 2017. As the BASC is not an HOA club, the regulations around guest days would not apply. But, u dear the above section, they could use a private facility for training/introduction or what have you. What used to be known as the "estate rifle clause" or s16 of the '88 Amendment Act.

And is now S11A Firearms Act 1968.
Depending on firearms used, S11(4) or S11(6) may also cover it.

Exactly, s130 amends the principal Act.
