Loads of people have no relationship with a GP, so it isn’t fair to ask them.

Also, it will mean shooters with developing mental health issues will refrain from seeking help for fear of losing their hobby.

Clearly this is well intentioned but very poorly thought through. The last thing we need is shooters who become mentally ill being afraid to seek help!

Thames Valley have had my renewal in for several months now. I was doing it a year early as part of their scheme to to "assist resolving their long term problem" of peak renewals.

Today, I get a letter asking me once again to help them by taking part in their 1 year early renewal scheme, but this time it includes the pre-application medical screening requirement which comes into effect on August 1st. No menion of the fact they've already had my renewal for months and have done nothing about it.

What do we reckon? Stay quiet and see what happens or poke the wasps nest to see if there's anything in there?

Reply back to the letter saying that you're already part of the scheme, and have been for several months so therefore you hope that your FAC will be renewed imminently, before the change of requirement.

Don't even acknowledge the medical form part. Just ring them up to 'double check' they still have your original renewal application and are processing it.
