Got one of those, very good image quality for the price, found some shiny copper deposits in my K22, going to check other firearms out this weekend.

Well, I always start with Ed's Red to remove loose powder fouling, since I have loads of it but only a limited supply of VMS (the maker of which is no longer with us).
The first C2R removed the bulk of the exposed copper.
Then I got stuck - the hard black residue that starts about half way down the barrel was stubborn. I went and bought some Bore-Tech C4 Carbon remover. It didn't seem to remove anything.
But JB Bore Paste made short work of the black deposits, and possibly some of the copper they were hiding, then the final Bore-Tech Copper solvent finished it off.
Perhaps regular use of the C4 Carbon remover would keep the carbon at bay before it gets hardened and baked-on, but I don't know. I always thought the only way to removed carbon was mechanical, i.e. it can't be disolved or removed with solvents.
Anyway, I'll continue using Ed's Red, VMS, (C2R or Bore-Tech copper solvent interchangably), and JB paste more frequently than I used to. The main thing is, as Gun Pimp said, when you can see what needs to be removed you can deploy the appropriate cleaning method, rather than working blind.

I also went and ordered one of these. Arrived yesterday. I have a handful of different cleaning products which I've gathered over the years, so it will be interesting to see which ones work best!

Just a heads up that if anyone doesn't mind it being a bit of a cheaper model, I have been using an endoscopic camera I got from ebay for £5 for the last 4 years. I did have 2 but one of them got broken whilst being shoved up the chimney to find out what was blocking it.
I got one like this:

If you do a search for endoscope on ebay, you will find a range of quality and prices.

If buying secondhand from the NHS, wash thoroughly before use.
