I've just had to get my medical report done and I've sent it with my Grant application as I've a couple of historic issues in my medical past.
Stupidly took an OD of antibiotics and antihistamines in 2005 when my EX f*** off with my 6 month old Son after having an affair.
and I was diagnosed with mood effective disorder in 2010 when i went through a divorce and loosing my job within a couple of months of each other.
GP has stated nothing of Active concern and no medication prescribed.

GP was really good about it I just had to make my request in writing couple of weeks and a £25 fee.

But i'm counting myself as lucky I've read some horror stories of GP's point blank refusing to even converse with the police let alone supply a report.

I understand the need for proper vetting to be carried out but there needs to be appropriate legislation behind it compelling the medical profession to provide this information in a timely professional manner to the police.

And complain to the GMC.

Doctors (and indeed this applies to anybody paid by the state in one way or another) should not be allowed to refuse on moral grounds to do anything which is legal.

If you don't want to marry same-sex couples, don't be a registrar.

If you don't want to perform abortions, don't be a doctor in a field where you might have to.

And if you are so strongly opposed to the idea of gun ownership that you refuse to provide information which the police are legally allowed, and bound, to ask for, then get out of general practice, as you are not fit for purpose.

Meanwhile drug abuse "parents" are allowed to keep children which often are abused, beaten and or murdered!

100% Correct there's some shocking states that children are sent to my daughters school kids in.
Some don't have uniform or even shoes that fit them while others are obviously underfed and living in filthy conditions.

The school does all they can but local authorities do very little to help these children it's such a shame.
I find it unbelievable that parents can put drugs or alcohol before their children.

And look at the outcry there'd be if anyone had the temerity to suggest that there should be the same screening to have a license to have a kid as there is to have an FAC................
