I've just had to get my medical report done and I've sent it with my Grant application as I've a couple of historic issues in my medical past.
Stupidly took an OD of antibiotics and antihistamines in 2005 when my EX f*** off with my 6 month old Son after having an affair.
and I was diagnosed with mood effective disorder in 2010 when i went through a divorce and loosing my job within a couple of months of each other.
GP has stated nothing of Active concern and no medication prescribed.
GP was really good about it I just had to make my request in writing couple of weeks and a £25 fee.
But i'm counting myself as lucky I've read some horror stories of GP's point blank refusing to even converse with the police let alone supply a report.
I understand the need for proper vetting to be carried out but there needs to be appropriate legislation behind it compelling the medical profession to provide this information in a timely professional manner to the police.
