I'd go for a fully pimped Accuracy International AX with a custom digital woodland camo paint job.

A custom rifle would be a better range rifle but I'm a sucker for the tactical stuff.

I'll carry on dreaming now....

I tried the 22 Anschutz version yesterday...............awesome.

I've got mine; the only improvement would be to have it semi-auto.

That is nice Hauptman, very nice indeed and interesting as well, any idea of cost? I see it has an electronic trigger option as well, not sure if they are legal in some of our disciplines such as MR, TR and F Class, does anyone know for certain if this is the case?

The rifle is built by a fellow club member. The 22 version built around an Anschutz is so comfortable to hold. Every surface that comes into contact with the shooter is adjustable. The pistol grip is "cantable", as is the left hand grip, and is mounted forward of the loading port. This allows the right elbow to stay in position on the ground throughout the load/ fire/ eject/ reload sequence.
The bolt is opened by simply taking the right hand off the grip, lifting it, the bolt handle then contacts the back of the thumb which opens it.
After 3 or 4 rounds to acclimatise, I was able to load, fire, eject, and reload with constant cheek weld, and the rifle staying on aim throughout.

The Remmy shown on the site was made as a prototype. The cost of a bespoke "one off" would no doubt be considerable....................

Nice to dream, though, and I'm seriously thinking about getting my mintish Match 54 done.

Yes I spotted the cantable grip, that would need the electronic trigger in order to be easily adjustable, that or a very unusual bolt/sear assembly.

Very nice indeed.

Because of the high price though I'll make do with one of these when I have the money saved up..

Hi all,

Call me sad if you like, but my favourite is the Straight pull L1A1 that I am buying very soon from a mate who is giving up full bore shooting... it may be "The right hand of the free world" but the left hand needs to work hard with all that cocking!!!

Cheers, John.
