Hi all,
My L1A1 "MLR" is now with my RFD and waiting for my variation to come through.
Cunning plan implemented chaps!......I have 10 sections of sized solid bar cut to length and painted ready to fit.
Checked on a deac Lithgow L1 I had in stock (see pics), very authentic look and totally legal!
All that is required is a small hole and screw through the carry handle nut to secure it.
As the Vicar said to the "insert your choice of smut here" thats one unsightly hole filled!!!!
Cheers John.

Why ten sections of bar? Is this for ten rifles or one in ten bits. Serious question!
Re: Straight Pull L1A1 SLR advise and info
Well, I had to buy a long length of bar, so I thought I would make as many as I could get out of it.
I buy and sell old spec deacs and quite often the tubes are missing from L1's, so I thought I would use them for that too!
A couple of people with straight pulls have asked me about ("the not a S5 gas tube" gas tube look-alike) so no doubt some will make there way onto other S/P L1's!
