Re: AR platforms and target scopes

I use an ARMS QD mount and cannot fault it. I remove the scope when it goes in the cabinet, put it back on and it has not lost the zero at all. Very well made and worth every penny.
I use a Leupold 4.5 - 14 x 40 Mk4 in mine and have shot it to 1000 yards albeit with quite a bit of elevation and conditions were almost perfect. 47 minutes from 200 yard setting from memory. That was with a 69 grain SMK behind 26 grains of 2520 powder. (Shot okay in my rifle, usual safety stuff/disclaimer etc about working up from minimum load etc), 1 in 8 twist barrel.
Good luck with the course.

Regards

Mat
I enjoy my shooting but usually get a better group with the empty cases !!!!

Good point Mat, I have not seen any shift in zero and I also keep my scope separate to the rifle. They certainly do seem to work well.

Nice for you - shove it in the For Sale section with pics & a price
NOT that it'll be any good to the Chuck-ster - as he is IN the USA & getting gun parts posted INTO the USA needs a lot of paperwork!

Thanks for all the offers chaps, appreciated.

True about geting stuff IN there..I had loads of enquiries for Safir T14 mags as the importer there didn't have any and only supplied ONE with the gun...........it's easier to empty Loch Lomond with a teaspoon than ship gun stuff IN..even taking out is getting a bit fraught these days..
