Am on the Zeroing Range at Barry Buddon, short but at least it is a range. Praying that the Army don't cry off at the last minute. Seriously thinking about joining another club to get more full bore time (Aberdeen Full Bore Gun Club, West Atholl or Fife & Kinross).
Dying to try the No5 out and blow all the ball ammo I have left.
With any luck we will have access to our own range at the end of the month and I'll give the Winchester another outing and run in my new Custom 10/22.
Good times!

Heh! Yes she would. I had quite a 'conversation' with an RCO at a previous club a couple of years ago. The senior RCO asked me to call a STOP STOP STOP at some point in the morning. Not a problem apart from conflicting instructions from him and the other RCO, one said do not unload and show safe and the other said unload and show safe and either way keep the rifle horizontal and pointing down range. I was shooting off a bipod and rear bag so my rifle was certainly pointing in the right direction so I called STOP STOP STOP and everyone stopped. Fine until the RCO inspects my rifle and the bolt is open (Well yup because I was hardly going to leave it closed before calling the stop) Anyway he decided I had unchambered the rifle after the call.
Then he started........ I vowed never to shoot again if he was an RCO
These days if I shoot at any club other than my own I always ask the club stop procedure to be clarified.

As shooters at clubs we can all call a stop stop stop at any point and certainly in my club it is actively encouraged to do so instead of trying to attract an RCO's attention.
Also we have stop drills as well to make sure everyone is on the ball.
So how many people not acting as RCO's have called stop to see if people are listening?
