The Genesis glass is a step up from the older Taipan and Viper ranges, I've compared the Viper 8-32x56 (on my sons rifle) and the Hakko 8-34x56 from Brian Fox against my Sightron SIII 8-32x56 and while none of them are close optically all were pretty decent with little to complain about given the price difference!.
