No, please dont.

Nobody actually owns any pretendy ARs on there because they are mostly built without all the crap people who dont shoot CSR seem to find essential.....

They pretend to be sod all but rifles built of AR parts (usually made for the straight pull market) for the sake of reliability in competition rather than badly done castration jobs.

They have regular witch hunts for them that cant be arsed to shoot CSR and burn them at the stake....or bin them off the forum.

A great bunch on friendly (mostly apart from that dickhead maggot) bods who just want to continue the sport....and a hell of a lot for them dont use ARs......who knew?

The clue is in the name...."CSR Shooter". Not "AR Drooler" "AR Discusser" "AR Dreamer" Hell we even have a fair few girlies and bloody good shots they are too

Nope, but I live in the real world and have to read about dickheads that want to play with concealed carry and take on terrorists, and people who believe they have the right to judge others dependent on their taste in shooting sports without having a scooby about who they are talking. the sad thing about all this is that by and large we all get on very well and would not dare make most of these comments face to face.

I am sick to death of this "Pretendy" crap and everything that goes with it to be honest and its about time the perps grew up and gave their fellow shooters some respect.

Nobody has a right to ban or shut people us simply because of the gunsmith they use either. People have a right to pick and choose and whether people on here like him or not, Mark provides a bloody good service and takes his rifles and customers seriously. The number of Bradley rifles doing the rounds proves this point, but as I say, its up to you lot.

Now For the love of god wind it in and play nicely. For what its worth we are trying to break down the barriers that will ultimately destroy our sport, not increase them and become more insular. If you think having a "I drool over anything that looks like an AR" section then happy days, but you dont need it. You all shoot on the same ranges.

As regards banning.....

Can we not just ban the word pretendy rather than split the forum more. A firearm is a firearm, whether it floats your boat or not

I got why Dromia deleted posts, they were pretty much ads.. the rest is only serving to split us into different camps :-(

If someone posts a "Thinking of getting an AR - who makes the best one", then its hard to have a thread which does not feature endorsement of whatever the posters favourite happens to be !

Just popped back to the thread which I believe inspired this thread, namely ;

Looking at the thread, all I can see are rifle owners giving their recommendations !

I did not see anybody disrespecting any other rifle builders. Or claim theirs was best etc

Just polite posters trying to help the OP with his quest.

Dromias intervention was a bit OTT. His use of the word "pretendy" was provocative. And his locking the thread was unjustified.
