I bought my Bradley Arms off of Mark second hand for £1350-00 and the prices Lantac have released are sub £2k. I would put a specification together and send each an email to see what comes back. It would be interesting to see what you get back. Don't forget you can always retro fit new grips and butt stocks later on even hanguards. There is big debate in the States over M Lok and Keymod rails at the moment but for the use that you probably intend either would do. I would limit the rail to just full length top rail with a front stud for a bipod (oh dear l said the B word). Personally l would keep the front end light. Magpul or Fab Defense flip up back up sights are great fun to use. Magnified optics or red dots cheap ones such as UTG are surprisingly good but Votex is derigeur in the mid range or Aimpoint/EO Tech if you are flush. I have started to use Primary Arms from Optics Planet in the States as apparently they are made in the same factory as the Vortex Strike Eagle (1-8 is the new black at the moment over 1-6 or 1-4 although you can pick up 1-6 Strike Eagle new for £250 if you look). I have gone back to Harris Bipods as they are good value at £90 for a non-tilt.

How is optics planet for sending stuff to the uk and you've gotten stuff like the 1-8x24 no problem? How does it compare to the strike eagle version?

Reading the comments in this thread I am having to consider if this forum is for me or if I need to look for an alternative. I was excited to join as it seemed that this forum covered everything but when a mod can just lock a thread for a reason only they can see, which may or may not be prompted by their apparent personal dislike of the subject matter makes me wonder sadly if I should stay.

I have had no trouble with getting a couple Primary Arms ACSS scopes out even getting discounts with their web chat. The process is delayed a couple of days whilst they check if it's OK their end and then l get a confirmation that the order is being processed for dispatch. I usually use PayPal for payment. It does seen a bit hit and miss as l have tried with other stuff and it gets stopped. There was talk of easing up on some of the restrictions.

The main difference with the Strike Eagle seems to be the ACSS recticle which is a single chevron with a vertical range line below it. There is some lead in dots for windage and moving target acquisition as well as a height ranging scale to the right similar to the POSP on my Tigr. The recticle is etched on the glass with usually just the chevron and sometimes the 3/4 circle that surrounds it lighting up if you want it. On YouTube Mr Guns n Gear does a good review.

I found the chevron easier to use as a more precise tool than the Strike Eagles's. I am holding out opinion on the glass as l get the feeling the Vortex is slightly better.

The other benefit is that the 1-6 l bought is in 300 Blackout which is compatible with 7.62 x 39 so have put that on my Saiga.

You do get collared by Customs but the discount normally covers postage.
