Re: Vz58
This is quite obscene actually ...
The Acog, calibrated for a nato 5.56 round, is about 3 times the price of a basic Vz shooting a 7,62x39
even if this one is in 223 ...
Not entirely convinced mounting such capitalist proletarian-oppressor optic makes any sense at all.
Only Meopta red dot is appropriate tool for good Vz weapon ! Cobra... maybe ... by only for old time sake
What's next ?
Spetsnaz issued with hand cream ??

Actually my vortex strikefire reddot in its low mount sits quiet nicely. But if I was to mount a 1 - 4 scope I can easily add a cheek rest to the stock FAB do one for it. :)John MH wrote:Whatever scope is fitted to that its going to be far too high to be comfortable, it needs a cheek riser.

Just my opinion but I think that spoils the look of an AK.I have also seen these on Dragunovs and its sacrilege.John MH wrote:There is a chap in Essex that does AK Side Charger work.Rburro2 wrote:
How long are these side charging handles going to take its been six months already, I'm holding off buying one until they appear.

Give a man a gun and he can rob a bank.....give a man a bank and he can rob the world!.
More than a vested interest in 7.62x54r!

It does ruin the look but without they bite your fingers and cases can bounce of your hand and back in.snayperskaya wrote:Just my opinion but I think that spoils the look of an AK.I have also seen these on Dragunovs and its sacrilege.John MH wrote:There is a chap in Essex that does AK Side Charger work.Rburro2 wrote:

On my AK I have the Rus Mil enlarge bolt handle seem to work ok though if you don't pull back sharply you do at times get a round bounce back of your knuckles (especially big hairy sausage fingered hands like mine)
On my Vz58 again pull back sharply and no issues but on occasion a case will bounce off knuckles and land back in the rifle, a cam charging handle will negate this and make cycling the rifle much quicker :)
While I agree putting a cam on an AK spoils the look I think it would make the operation much nice and cycling the rifle much quicker also.
