It's French
Jealous????????
It's got the supidest bolt design ever
Stupidity is in the appreciation...No other arsenal ever designed a repeating bolt made of 5 parts ONLY....Probably also none with such a fast locktime......No one has a shorter bolt stroke and such a strong and well arranged lugs system....
and it's probably the ugliest rifle I've ever seen.
Then you have not seen that much...
Other than that it's fine :55: :55: :55:

As a psychiatric nurse I must offer up my concerns regarding Alpha1. Like any man I appreciate a bit of gun porn of an evening, but there are limits! Let me know where you shoot and Ill add you to the treatment list.
I have to say the only issue i have with the MAS is the lack of availability of cheap / local factory ammunition which I hope to overcome shortly.
Now where did I put the Aberlour............

I will apoogise for any offence my comments may have made, they were mainly made in jest.
there is a long ongoing bit of banter regarding this rifle between myself and Mas36 (my best mate) and it was too much for me to ignore.
Much respect
Alan
As for Laphroaig it's my preferres malt of choice

I still fancy adding oneof these to my collection. Granted its' pig ugly and built by the French but as a little used, knock-about gun
it can't be beaten.
...unlike the cheese eating surrender monkeys that were issued them!
The MAS36 has got to be one of the FEW bolt actions I never liked - others being the Russian Mosin Nagant & the Italian Carcano

A arisaka now you are talking.
The mas36 is a easy round to re load.
You can use 6.5x55 Swedish mauser cases that are easily obtainable. You just run them through a full length sizing die then trim them to length.
The bullet is a standard .308 I use hornady 155grain A max in mine with 42.3grains of Vit N140.
I use Lapau cases and Amax bullets because there is nothing but the best for my old Girl she is nestling under the bed clothes as we speak winking at me.
But I am not going to join her until I have had at least another glass or two. tongueout
