Halodin ? was it you the latest EuroMillion ticket winner ?

I handled an FG42 at the Royal Armouries recently and it is an impressive piece of kit. Tried to sneak it out in my ruck sack but it was a bit obvious
Is there actually any chance at all of the act been repealed? Or should we remain greatful for the guns we still have in our cabinets?
I think a Garand would be high up on my list, SLR (FAL) and definitely a 1911

Handgun ban, although I doubt it, it could happen due to the Olympic use.
SLR's can't see it ever happening but fingers crossed

I certainly do not think we will ever be legally allowed to shoot such things in the UK again.

I understand that .22 pistols nearly came back until someone ran amok.

Prior to the last election, there were a fair amount of sitting and prospective Conservative MP's supported the return of .22 rimfire pistols to S1 status. The Olympics were coming up and the Conservatives had political deniability as they didn't pass the small bore ban, just full bore pistols. Anyway, election came and went, ended up with a coalition, was never going to happen after that...
Still, I'm the eternal optomist. I'd gladly "exchange" o/u, sxs and single barrel shotguns to S1 and have rimfire pistols returned.... (That'll get those clay and game shooters attention!!)

And just how am I going to find a good reason for 14 Shotguns??
Maybe instead we could have obsolete calibre lever action rifles to Sec. 5 instead.

*cough* *cough*...... You think you'd have trouble with 14..... If the wife ever found out how many lever guns I have, never mind the Home Secretary.... sign01 sign01 sign01

I had an L1A1 and a 5.56 valmet (AK variant) still got the mags for the L1A1, which is a good thing, because I've just bought one of Anglos straight pull versions smile2
