That was my initial thought, trying to ascertain if there is any benefit to spending that money.

In its genuine Tube stock, or the Newer CG 59 LTT action, or the CG66 LTT Tube rifle?

The Dolphin is about the best value and it delivers.

Mr_Logic wrote:My Savage / Broughton .308 shoots similarly tbh, but considerably better than the factory Savage 223. I think the barrel is, as you say, probably the most vital bit.

Slightly off-topic... what is your Lilja like for cleaning? My Broughton took < 10 patches total, even after the open day abuse - very happy.
No Tom, it needs more than that but I use C2R so just let it do it's job, but it is just under 2000rds

It does go like hell though :good:

I can get similar velocities without trying too hard to some folk who are crunching it in heavily.

Gary C wanted a lanyard on the skills weekend....no pressure signs but we think the copper may have been stripping...oops.

I have toned things back though to stay under HME, it shoots sweeter that way as well...there's a thing.

Its your choice mate.

I am sold on my Dolphin modular. I have found that it is sensitive to having my noggin stuck on the cheekpiece but that's me.

The thing keeps on giving, I just need to do the right things my end.

If anything mine is maybe a tad light, but treated well it comes back onto target as it should.

The rifle was carving a nice little set of rails with the Stotterben yesterday, I just had to keep winding it up a tad as the thing sunk slowly!!!

I will have another Lilja next time round for sure.

Another thing about the Dolphin is it is fantastic value for money and you don't wait a season for your rifle....even if the gun plummer wot makes em is a hamfisted recce mech...... :55:

Oh s***...he's on here aint he
