Yeah! Read about an old gent from Devon who was complaining to his Grandson about the high cost of living. "When I was a boy, you could go out with very little money and still come back home with a dozen eggs, two pints of milk, a pound of bacon, half a pound of tea and a fresh chicken."

After over 50,000 rounds I had the detent spring and clip depart my 44 marlin last year. Knocked a new one up on the lathe and been no problem since. Last week the back half of the 2 piece firing pin split in 2 and dropped out. On stripping it down the front half had also split in 2. Both failures were at the spring notches in the pins. Knocked a new one up out of stainless. Works a treat and really lightens up the action. Wish I'd done it years ago. Picture shows it .0005" oversize to allow for final fitting.
