It really needs some additional IR, which I should have in the post tomorrow!
What range was that at Mike?, the image doesnt look that much clearer than my old Gen1 Russian 1pn58
Only about 100yds. The actual image is crystal clear, but trying to hold a mobile phone to the lens whilst tracking a fox was not as easy!
The photo was taken using the phone!
It does have the video out capability on the NV, but that just add to the stuff I would be carting around.
ah I see :good: .I tried my 1pn out down a field near me (on its own, no rifle attached) on a clear moonlit night and could see a couple of foxes at around 200m clearly enough that a shot would have been possible and the bloke walking his dog at approx 500m would have been an easy shot......not bad for a 40-odd year old scope.

My live quarry rifles are in 222, 6mm Musgrave and .303 British.

The 222 is a BSA, the 6mm Musgrave is a Lee Enfield No1 conversion by Musgrave, the 303 is a Lee Enfield No4 conversion by Parker Hale. Scopes are 2 Pecars and an Ajax, maximum magnification 6x.

These have taken thousands of animals from fox to red deer over the years with these guns and I've never had any need to change.

I only got the 6mm Musgrave a few years ago, prior to that the 222 and the 303 did me fine.
