Different. I would not give one house room but whatever floats your boat.
I don't understand why any one would want to ruin/butcher a perfectly good under lever to fit a moderator. I can not see any point.
But its not my under lever mine will all ways be in its original configuration so it does not matter. Crack on if you feel the need.
I'm sure some gun smith will be happy to take your hard earned cash of you.

Ha ha,
I like quirky guns but they can be a problem to move on if And when I want to. I also own an Adler A110 which I'm thinking of getting chopped down to about 24" overall which should look cool, not sure how practical though.
I also have tworked mint Winchester 94's one in .44 and one in .357 both with 16" barrels and these will stay stock apart from maybe a rail and scope on one.

Ovenpaa wrote:Barrel needs to come out, remove the fore end and magazine tube pop the barrel in a barrel vice and use a flat sided action wrench with the bolt in place. I use some 1/16" brass shim and hockey tape either side to protect the finish. They usually come out very easily.
How easy was it to do and I assuming I have to buy or build the wrench?

They are usually quite easy, just take care as you can twist the receiver frame which is why I leave the bolt in for additional rigidity.

You need to clamp the barrel well, I use a 20 ton ring press with wooden inserts for my barrel vice:

Could you not have the front sight moved back then have a gun smith thread the barrel and make you an invisible end cap from part of the barrel. I think it's a cool idea so what if someone doesn't like it it's your gun do what ever you want to it as long as it makes you happy.

I really like that idea, don't have any decent gunsmiths near me that I know of.

Local doesn't necessarily mean good. I travel nearly 180 miles to get to a good 'smith.
Ironically, past Neil Mckillop.
That said, i think Neil might build the next one.
He's on the A33 'tween Amazingstoke and Reading. Just accept that you may need to travel for quality work, it'll be worth it
