I applied for my first FAC in November and put down 6 calibres including 7.62 and 7.92. The visiting officer was happy but questioned why I wanted two that were so close so explained the interest in Lee Enfield and some have been converted to 7.62 and the 7.92 was for a Mauser but he then said on initial grant they only liked to agree to five so could I take one off, so I dropped the 7.62. Ammo wise 1000 .22 was knocked down to 600, 600 .38/.357 was dropped to 500 and the others kept at 200 when the certificate came through.Lozza79 wrote: However, I'm not sure what amount of variations is advisable to ask for. I don't want to push my luck and ask for too much, but also I don't want to waist an opportunity and apply for too little also. I want to ask for a variation for 7.92 Mauser, 7.62 Mosin and .223. I was thinking of asking for around 2-300 ammo for each. However it's mostly the Mauser I'm interested in.
