My benches came out of a commercial electronics workshop. They were given to me, so I can't point you at the source, but they have been absolutely superb; I can't recommend them enough and couldn't be happier.

The drawer units underneath are separate. Light plus numerous power sockets and network were probably (very neatly) installed by the previous owner.

I'm still working on my reloading room/office.
The main workbench however was a 3m x 1120 Island worktop in solid oak that i've had cut down to fit the size I need.
The room is above the stairs so the slanted ceiling comes into the room and was previously boxed in with a square. i stepped this and then laid the worktop onto this and witha 3x2 batton securely fitted to the wall, then screwed down on top. Because walls are usually not straight I chased out the wall and recessed the worktop into the wall and recently plastered above it and below it to bring it all in line.

Before adding the workbench I made sure I had enough sockets on top of it (3x double sockets) and some power under the desk.
It also has a leg that is currently not installed, but will go near to where I put my presses to stop any flex.

Work in progress, but it's getting there... The plaster is drying out and it'll be sanded and painted by the end of the week.

I've got the offcuts of the worktop too, which I'll probably be making shelves out of, these are 12" wide and almost the length of the wall, however will need to be cut down slightly so I can fit the TV in the man cave...

my temporary bench was made with sheet of ply, 18mm I think, ripped in half lengthways to give me two boards 600 x 2100 which cost me less than £30 and a 2x4 which cost about £3 and I had some Clarke bench legs from machine mart. also had a 2X2 support leg from a previous bench to go under the press.
the two boards laid on top of each other, screwed together, and bolted thru the legs. the legs had the 2x4 added to make them more stable and give a home to the spare presses, plus i screwed a small section on the underside of the board too. I then screwed a small block to the wall on top of the back of the bench, to stop it lifting

I built mine out of timber using two walls in the corner as support. The worktop is finished off with plywood covered with a sheet of light coloured vinyl stapled round the edges. This is easy to clean, keep tidy and replace if it gets damaged.

The Ikea worktop and support leg are both very sturdy (and cheap!)

We submitted for our Planning yesterday, we already had planning however it was getting close to expiring and no doubt there will be more changes in the next few weeks however it looks like we are going to start at long last.

Walk in gun room with double stacked rifles anyone?
