Re: Dedicated AR Section

shugie wrote:Perhaps the advantage of a separate section would that it could be moderated by someone a little less obviously unsympathetic to what he calls "pretendy" AR-15s. I have two black rifles and enjoy shooting them, although I also like my more traditional rifles like my Swing and K31, as well as the downright quirky in the form of my Mateba.

The forum header says "supporting all legal firearms owners, collectors and enthusiasts....promoting and encouraging legitimate gun ownership..." Making derogatory comments then locking the thread does not seem to me to live up to that claim, which I find very disappointing.
I agree, personally I cannot stand wood on my rifles (look at what I own should tell the picture), I wish the s.2's didn't have wooden stock's), if I could find an aftermarket (non wooden) stock for my underlever, I would!

Instead of an AR only forum, why not 'Straight Pull' forum

I am really trying to stop myself from writing this but we could call it the "Pretendy Section" and that would keep everyone happy! I know l shouldn't of but l couldn't help it. Still don't understand the reasoning from the Powers That Be, just listen to the people.

The straight pull section would be good but this could still end in a potential fracas when "AR" is mentioned and a discussion starts around said platform lol

However, it was said in all seriousness, since there does seem an anti AR bias on this forum: thought it was a good compromise.

Actually we don't want a dedicated AR section because if we did then at every opportunity Lantac's number one fanboi would posting pictures copied off their website.
