All of my club members are firearm certificate holders they are all National Rifle Association Range conducting Officers and most of them are Qualified first aiders. Our medical officer is a Eminent Trauma Surgeon.
The bulk of members are either retired Military officers or retired Armed Response . The rest of them are made up of game keepers and all sorts of weird and dodgy people like me for instance. We currently have no probationary members.
But we don't mind you attending our guest days if you live in the North East.

Re: Club On-Site Rifle Storage Fees Survey
At my club: £100 per annum for a 5 rifle safe. The smaller handgun or ammo safes are £20 per annum.
Re: Club On-Site Rifle Storage Fees Survey
I left Bisley 7.3 shooting some years ago and it was £60 per pistol for the first 2 or 3 then a reduced amount. Try phoning the NRA Armoury and ask them what their rifle charges are. At the moment I have a number of pistols in a Sec 7.3 site they are in one locker and it's all included in my annual sub of £80. This is another club that has for years undercharged members meaning that it almost went bust and his little in the way of a cash reserve. I went through the accounts added up all the expenditure and came up with a 'cost per member' which was £5 MORE than the OAPs were paying as an annual sub!
We have since managed to get the fees up which cleared out a lot of the dross but we are trying to work out a reasonable figure for storage ourselves.
Is your club alarmed? This is normally pretty expensive and as such I would take that figure and divide it by the number of members storing firearms and use that as your base figure per member for the year.

Re: Club On-Site Rifle Storage Fees Survey
Two of my clubs have on site storage for members. One particular club has a room with something like 30 + cabinets with others dotted about the building. I've no idea of the rental charges though. It would irritate me not being able to look over my guns as and when I want.
Re: Club On-Site Rifle Storage Fees Survey
i have my guns stored at my club at the moment due to seperation and my club do not charge for storage of club members guns

Re: Club On-Site Rifle Storage Fees Survey
I've gotta say I did not know that club's that store guns were so numerous, as most club's are just a hole in the ground there ain't a lot of scope for proper security etc....but you live and learn....I cannot comment on fees but what I will say is everyone goes and spends loads on guns and ammo etc but everyone moans when the club puts up the fees,so without some where to shoot the guns what would they do?
When someone says "it's not about the money" you know what? it probably is all about money!
