Certainly glad we are there, met a lot of great people and was nice to have people just come up and shake my hand and say “well done for building a range” that’s nice.

Went along and had a wander around, time was short as other commitments had to be honoured, but a good morning out and just about an hour away from Manchester in early traffic.
It did feel a little cramped and quite a few of the usual exhibitors weren't there, Southern Gun Company for one.

Well, it was certainly busy there today.
Went with a handful of other club members, one intention being to introduce the others to the delights of A&A's action jobs for their Marlins, Rossi's etc. So, they've now got another 3 customers
Another reason I wanted to go was to see Oliver on the Fortis Clothing stand to get a new waterproof smock and trousers ordered, with a few custom additions.

For me it was a great day out, bumped into plenty of old mates, saw a few really nice new things (be sure to visit March Scopes if you go).
Nice to see the major manufacturers supporting the Show - Schmidt & Bender, Mauser, Blaser, Ruag, Leupold Leica, Browning etc etc.
My pal and I felt very much the same about the show today (Saturday).
Slight delay in getting in this morning as we were waiting for the doors to open but really enjoyed the day out. The NEC is a huge improvement on Stoneleigh as regards layout. Just a pity that the same number of stalls isn't spread over a larger area so as to give wider aisles.
We had the opportunity to inspect a massive range of equipment much of it that you won't often find in regional gun shops. On top of that the importers or distributors were only too happy to discuss their products with you. I can see a few future purchases in the pipeline.

Would this be a bad time for me to mention my Shot Show trip ? 5 days - 7 hours per day and I still did not see it all. And that was skipping the shotgun stuff !
Then 3 days in the bars and casinos to recuperate....................and buy an extra suitcase for my freebies and shopping. Its a tough gig but someone has to do it.
I spoke to one guy who had one of those fitness gadgets on his wrist - measures distance walked - he walked 40 miles of stands in 3 days !!!

Went with a mate yesterday. Thought it was great. Did a very good deal on a scope and had a couple of other bargains too. Arrived just before 09:00 and queued for no more than 15 mins to get in. Only complaint was the usual rip-off prices for food and drink. A £7 "meal deal" for a sarnie, bag of crisps and a bottle of coke is not my idea of a deal.
