Re: worth signing

The opportunity of returning .22 handguns to section 1 was missed in the run up to the 2012 Olympics. I’ll echo Mark’s words as well, the wording of the petition is so lame...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Other than the one set up by a 14yr old lad the day after he'd been to a rifle range for the first time that had more misspelled workds than correctly spelled ones, this has got to be the worst one yet. troutslapping
I said the same thing when I saw it posted on social media.

I'd love to get behind a petition, but this is so badly worded and sounds like it's setup by someone completely brand new to the sport.

Where are the statistics to backup the claims? Where are the references to sports, competitions and international bodies that promote the safe usage of these types of firearms?

Is it little wonder that the national bodies do not get behind this type of petition and push it to all of the members.

I'd love to get behind it, but it's so badly thought out I cant even bring myself to sign it, even though I am an advocate for the cause.

Where's the petition from people who have shot these type of firearms legally in the past, shot competitions and compete abroad, safely with these type of firearms? Where are the statistics disproving the effect on the ban and try to add some logic to the petition so that even the casual reader can see why it was badly thought out with no relevance to crime rates?

Which one is this now? I have signed so many of these now it’s hard to keep track.....
If we failed to reach the required numbers last time what’s the point this time.
