The other two make my K31 look a bit tame, I wish I had the skills to make the middle one

I generally like bullpups, but not that one. However, the middle stock is rather appealing. I wonder if an AICS system could also mount a K31 action?

I wouldn't advise a Swede as it is a small ring action. The large ring on a 98 is far stronger for heavier loads.

The ring at the front of the reciever that the bolt lugs lock into.

Basally, on the small ring Mauser the thread on the barrel where it screws into the receiver is a smaller diameter than the large ring and is consequently weaker.
I've just bought a set of parts incl the barrel to fit a large ring Mauser. Currently in .308 it could easily become a 30-06. I got everything in the buy at the Trafalgar (except the receiver and I have one of those in hand).
