If you restore an incremental/differential backup into a database that has been modified (by subsequent test posts) since the corresponding full backup was restored, won't you get....a big mess?

Here are some performance stats for a deep page from around the globe (ignoring DNS resolution time):

Code: Select all

Connect	1st Byte	last byte	Size
Old	0.132 0.190 0.133 6505 Munich
New	0.025 0.153 0.024 6561 Munich

Old	0.056 0.166 0.056 6505 Seattle
New	0.154 0.294 0.154 6561 Seattle

Old	0.223 1.279 0.224 6505 Brisbane
New	0.331 0.484 0.328 6561 Brisbane
Pretty much in line with expectations.

Thanks Rox, they are looking OK for the most.

I just ran a test backup to the new place and it appears the posts went over without issues so that part is covered :good:

I've just tried the link and the new site opened up quickly.
Not sure if this is of any help 'cos it's a bit later!

Near instantaneous to load ...

Access to forums is OK - needed to log in but that was to be expected. Hidden forums were not there until I had logged in - as expected.
