Lee used to do a priming tool that you screw in to the top of a press you put a single primer by hand in then seat it.
Any body know were I can get one. I dont like to rush the primer seating in fact I dont like to hurry any of the re loading process I like to squeeze every bit of enjoyment I can out of it.

Mike, I have a RCBS hand priming tool going spare. It is the old type that uses the shell holders but it still works just fine. It will require a new primer tray which I see Midway UK sells for seven quid. If you want it then it's yours, just PM me your address along with your bank details and any and all passwords.
Many thanks

...either one works

Yeah, you even use lollipop sticks to trim your cases.

Anyway, Lee have no thumblevers left. They offered me a new XR half price plus shipping which will make it more expensive that buying in the UK. I'm not impressed.

PM me a photo of the broken part
I HAVE CONTACTS!! :shifty:
EDIT: I also have a new-in-the-box RCBS Posi-Prime Hand Priming Tool going spare
Jon, can you pm your email address as I have pics of the broken bit on my phone so easier to email from there. Cheers

Mike357, so I take it you don't want the RCBS hand priming tool then?

Blu, many thanks for the mind offer but if I can't get the Autoprime fixed I'm going back to priming on the press for speed for my 44. Once I start reloading for the 308 I don't know what I'll use but I might be back in touch. Thanks.

Mike, I can highly recommend the RCBS hand priming tools, I have the Universal version and use it for my .308 and .44 cases, it is so much better than the Lee versions. I hand prime all my .44s before running them through the Lee Load-All progressive as its built in primer system is extremely poor to say the least.
No problems with the Lee on-press Autoprime on the Turret press though, well apart from not feeding the last primer if using small ones without giving it a good tap.

I have had my Lee Auto Primer for twenty plus years, never had a problem. Perhaps the newer ones are not as well made.

Same thing happened to me , I went out and bought an rcbs universal hand primer , certainly more pricey but clearly a high quality product .
