 of course when you cannot drive and have low standards it's hard to appreciate a BMW......leave your Mundanoe and Porch standing in any department. At least they have half decent leather, not Jag leather quality granted...
Audi, poor mans Merc at one time, it's a VW parts bin ransack project.... a bit like that Johnny Cash song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4pAwosnIQE (similar tune to A Boy Named Sue???).
and it's overpriced to boot. OK, I'll agree the quattro... the end of the song describes Porches to a "P"
Don't you just love the mental agility of folks here, scopes and insults to cars..

Not my fault you don't have a lot of guns is it tack??
Style???? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and comes in buckets as standard when you have a Beemer.
Porsche: Ger, adj /noun a mid life crisis indicator. When someone who REALLY should know better buys a wholly impractical sports car the wrong side of 30 "they are having a Porsche time" AKA mid life crisis,> bought in the belief that somehow the car is worth the money and will restore their virility and ability to pull....or impress the neighbours.
As a NOUN: A sport Volkswagen convertible or coupe, many of which look exactly the same but have widley differing price bands. An enthusiasts car..they enthuse over them - no one else does. Good utlity cars though as the engines find their way ino beach buggies. Beach buggy (noun) , a by-product of older Volkswagen Beetles on which the Porsche is based. usually driven by youngsters and older guys who should know better but cannot afford a normal Porsche. By having at least the engine and some spare bits they feel they have achieved something akin to a Porsche...oooh sorry, PORSHA!
Alternatives with more class and style include Ferarri and any Italian supercar, Aston Martin, Bentley Continental or Maserati if you are a hairdresser or footie player, Any BMW but ideally a BMW M5 or M6 (diesel or petrol)..Jag XK and XK-R if you must...Audi Quattro only..
that should do it..

Yes I admit its a mid life crisis but that's great it means I'm going to live to 82 at least if I'm only mid way ?
As for style , a BMW ?!?!?! Really ?does your guide dog drive you round in your Beemer ?
What was the original post about?

In all seriousness, I did once buy a Nightforce. Macleods were offering them at a great price and I discovered I hated the turrets on the Kahles I originally went to buy.
Unfortunately it soon developed a fault (wouldn't hold zero). Fair enough -you get a lemon in every batch and Macleods couldn't have been better. They immediately offered a replacement without ever mentioning postage or anything but by that time I'd done a bit of internet research and found it a recurring problem with that particular model. I also found a few bemoaning the s.h.i.t.e. aftersales service they received so i opted for Macleods to swap it for a Zeiss.
