btw, I think that Garands are coming soon as well (according to a certain companies facecrack page (same people who are bringing the M14s in?)). For people like me who have never fired full bore with a gas system, I don't mind the 'neutered' straight pulls.

I've had mine for a few years now; on extraction some stuff is sticky, some isn't.
Old standard RG was reasonable; L42 RG155 tended to be a bit sticky (But shot very very well), MEN was always bloody tight (had to go 'Mexican Match' with the MEN ammo)!

168gn bullet behind 42.5 gns of Varget works fine both in the accuracy and operating efficiency stakes.

I modified my charging handle with a small extension just to help with those 'sticky' ones.

Btw, I've got a Harris bipod for mine.

What do you think of your M14? Allegedly in the latest edition of Visier Magazine in the test feature, they shot a grouping of 19mm with the iron sights @ 100 meters which sounds pretty good to me.

The only problem with my M14 is it only comes with a 5 round mag and whilst I will have a couple of 20 round mags in the not too distant future (touch wood!) I wonder if you've come across any for sale?

Wow very nice indeed not sure about the cost though seems pretty steep. Though it is as I said very nice indeed.

I think it looks amazing in the EBR stock. The rifle seems reasonable to me, it's the Sage International EBR stock that's expensive @ £950.

Yeh we'll be very happy together! God knows when I'll be able to afford a nice scope for it though...

All they have on them is "LDT M14 7.62mm" and the serial number. Allegedly the quality of finish is superb.

Looks like you could have saved yourself a ton of cash... Suffolk are showing that the wooden stocked version is free
