For guidance, the first shots will go down the range at 08:30. Anyone shooting in detail 1 will normally be at least heading towards the 'point about 30 mins before. Of course, you could all have breakfast in the clubhouse, which is *much* nicer (07:00 to 09:00).Barrakan wrote:Thanks Matt, will hook up with you folks at Jenny's.

yea, heard that before...that's if (and only if) the markers turn up on time, they can find the appropriate target, and are actually breathing when the hooter goes off.rox wrote:For guidance, the first shots will go down the range at 08:30. This isn't an NRA event. The three or four times I've organized and run this event we've started bang on time and usually gained a few minutes against the schedule at each distance. The Queen's II in particular doesn't afford any scope for delays as the timings are tight. I put extra bodies and additional supervisors in the butts at the start to ensure marker delays don't interfere with the start, and pressure on the range office to ensure that targets are in frames, manned and ready to go up dead on the hooter and we run a backup radio net. I don't suppose it will be much different this year.Maggot wrote:yea, heard that before...that's if (and only if) the markers turn up on time, they can find the appropriate target, and are actually breathing when the hooter goes off.
At the Phoenix the first rounds were supposed to go down the range at 08:30....the markers were at Stickledown gate at 08:30 just ambling up to the butts...on foot clapclap

They know what works.. they know what they want ... they organise it .... and then they make it happen!
Its friendly, organised and well run. (naturally...ENS is in the states!!! :55: )
Simply the Easter Shoot and the Champs last year are the best 2 organised and executed events I have shot in!
