One who won't have an AR-related seizure...

I believe I can. I'll get through to him and find out whether he's still running.
What sort of time frame? And where in Hants?

You could try Steve Crabtree at Portsmouth Gun centre.............it's a "proper" gun shop.

+1 for Steve @ Portsmouth Gun Centre. I've bought a couple of guns from him, great guy to deal with.

You could try Aldershot Rifle and Pistol Club. A good bunch of lads there for sure and they cater for everything. On the Hants Police I've never ever had an issue and found them more than helpful. In relation to ammo holding as with everything it depends on your circumstances. I'm the QM at LERA so have 20kish on my ticket, but don't expect that amount if you've one rifle which you use for stalking.

Thanks all.
I'm a target shooter. I expect to get through 1k per year but would like a reasonable allowance in case of shortage and, of course, for batch consistency.

Speak to Bacon Butty, he's quite new, he got a half decent allowance iirc

This is what I have on mine, but them I'm just starting and was advised I could up quantities when needs be once I've delved into comps more.
I originally asked for 2000 hold and 1500 buy on .22 but was knocked down to this, which is ok. The FEO certainly took on board my reasons and went accordingly.

Hmm well I'll not be best pleased if I'm knocked down from my current 1000... that's just plinking ammo for me, let alone competition (which I doubt I'll be interested in much).
