Ovenpaa,
I'd like to try an AW.
They are THE AI to me.
To be fair though the AT looks pretty good value as well though.

I thought I'd blow him a kiss!
My humblest apologies - my eyes were playing tricks on me

All good banter

The lowly AI/AE is no slouch either, I have not seen any difference accuracy wise between the AW and AE in 7,62x51 the real difference is one can be slung out of a C130 into the wilds of Borneo or Arctic and function reliably, the other was designed for law enforcement purposes.
A low round count AE would be a very good investment right now.

I've a feeling they're already on here, but I can't find them.
Th T3 is still very much a WIP as discussed earlier but I'll be sure to post it as soon as I can.

My Sauer .243/.308 as it was with S&B 8x56 scope

As it is currently with Swarovski 3-18x50P BT L scope

The .222 BRNO rifle
Both of the above were re-stocked from the original factory wood circa 1989/90 by a company up here in northern Scotland (Mitchell Bosley - long since defunct).

Lovely....especially the top one
Despite suffering from the well known disease of Waltism I also love a 'proper' rifle.

I guess a proper rifle is relative, and let's face it we all like a "Black Rifle" fix now and again - fortunately I have a pal in Luxembourg who has a huge collection of Boomsticks of all types from H&K 416 -> various pistols & SMGs -> .50BMG and most things in between, so a fix of "Rock 'n Roll" is always possible.

Just wondered whether it was possible to do the same with firearms and accessories.
Yes it's very possible and relatively easy. I've imported stripped parts for a complete AR15 straight pull, parts for a complete AR22 and an already complete .45/70 rifle. It worked out cheaper than buying in UK but more importantly I was able to get what I wanted as some of what I bought isn't available in the UK. Obvious costs are for product, export licence, exporter fees, shipping, import duty, VAT and UK delivery. Depending on what and the amount you choose to import may or may not work out cheaper than buying in the UK.
Having said that importing and selling firearms and making money as a business I can understand why some prices in the UK are as high as they are, with exception to Midway UK who, in my opinion, take the p*** with pricing.

ovenpaa - what are the going rates for an AI (AW and AE)? - how much would an individual need to spend - I would like a second hand AW in .308. I prefer the look of the AW to the AT
